The Kosofe Local Government Area, under the purposeful and people-centred leadership of its Executive Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, actively championed the June monthly environmental sanitation exercise, with the Executive Chairman personally leading the Kosofe Local Government management team alongside the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, and his team across key neighbourhoods in Oworonshoki area of the LGA.
The joint exercise covered Olorunfunmi Street, Salami Street, Olayiwola Street, Oyegunle Street, Alaba Street, Oyenubi Street, and Oworo Road – a clear demonstration of Barr. Ogunlewe’s hands-on, results-driven approach to governance and his abiding commitment to the wellbeing of Kosofe residents.
In a particularly commendable act of decisive leadership, Barr. Ogunlewe immediately ordered the evacuation of a heap of refuse that had accumulated at the Olopomeji area of Oworonshoki upon the conclusion of the exercise. The prompt action drew widespread appreciation from residents who witnessed it firsthand.
He also issued a firm charge to the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Community Development Associations, and the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) to intensify efforts in curbing indiscriminate waste dumping across Kosofe, stressing that a clean environment is non-negotiable under his watch.
All residents are warmly encouraged to embrace their sanitation responsibilities and partner with designated PSP operators for regular, seamless waste disposal, as Kosofe marches steadily towards a cleaner, healthier future.
